Current Archery Information

Current schedule out to 18 Nov.
JROTC tries to make our schedule fixed to reduce confusion and it follows this simple guideline: Practices are Monday and Wednesday from 3:30pm until 5pm. Team members are encouraged to try and make all practices, but if they can only make two (a week); that is permissible. The schedule will vary depending on weather conditions. For instance, a high heat index condition may be cause a reduced practice time or cancel it to protect students. Also, storm conditions have caused cancellations and rescheduled practices during the same week, so that is also a possibility.
Local tournaments (school only) are normally scheduled in the last two weeks of each month usually on a Wednesday of that week. Parents are highly encouraged to come to practices and watch the operation as well as talk to the coach/sponsor. Archery is always looking for active parents to help, if able.
This year, team members are asked to pay $20 to cover equipment costs (arrows), transportation throughout the year to tournaments and a team jersey. Team members have until the end of September to pay this fee or will be asked to resign from the team.
My commitment to the parents is to end practices prior to 5pm and request parents promptly pick up their children by NLT 5:10pm. If a parent makes alternative transportation arrangements, it would be helpful to know those arrangements in case the student is in transit and you need my assistance tracking him/her down.
Very Respectfully,
Jon Johnson
