In the Bossier High JROTC program, we do an annual orienteering trip to Black Bayou Cypress. Here's how orienteering works:

we navigate in the woods with only a map, GPS and compass to find checkpoints for your team. When you arrive at the checkpoint, you will receive a stamp. Then you receive your next set of coordinates. You do this For about 4-6 times, then you reach the finish line. After the hunt, there will be a barbecue providing food and drinks.

Good luck!

What is Orienteering

A sport in which people use a map, GPS, and a compass to navigate between checkpoints along an unfamiliar course.
