Welcome back to Bossier High School. As an alumni, I take a great deal of pride in Bossier High. It is an honor to return to Bossier High and have the opportunity to teach Civics. This subject will outline: The symbols of the United States of America as well as the importance of citizenship. Do your best, try your best, and give your best effort.
I am a PROUD graduate of Bossier High School Class of 1994. I received a Degree at Northwestern State University in Health and Human Performance with a Minor in Social Studies, Computer Literacy, and Driver Education. I am starting my 12th year in Bossier Parish after following the foot steps of my father who taught in Bossier Parish for 34 years and a former Principal and Head Coach of Bossier High School.
I am taking on huge responsibility along with my Student Teacher, Andi Finimore, in becoming a Pilot Program to Project Based Learning in the Subject of Civics. Ms. Finimore, along with myself have been formulating a new curriculum structured around the company "We The People." This new Project Based Learning will ask for the students to become familiar with cited material in the Constitution and become comfortable relating to hearing debates such as "We the People" mock trial settings. We hope to have the students familiar with Landmark Supreme Court Cases as well as the early philosophies of Early European Writers and how they have become the structure to the Constitution.
